Ha...Ginger, that sounds like such an amazing story! Have you ever written about it before? I would be interested to hear/read more.

In fact, my novel's main character is searching for her family's past (specifically her mother's) and I'm working on scenes with her discovering her mother's burial spot in a Parisian graveyard. How she comes to find it, I still haven't determined. Your story may be pointing me in a direction I hadn't yet considered!Liz Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16236068983893816667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5412721865350116634.post-53248302597439302932009-02-28T19:46:00.000-06:002009-02-28T19:46:00.000-06:00Liz,I have a story to tell you . . . a true story,...Liz,

I have a story to tell you . . . a true story, about being in Chicago 12 years ago, driving around the north side looking for my mother's old neighborhood. I drove down Clark Street and just before the intersection at Lawrence Avenue I saw a cemetary and knew . . . I don't know how, but I knew, that my grandmother was there. She was. And so was a woman who I'd seen in dreams and would later find out was my great, great grandmother.
I spent the next several months working to connect with these lost family members. It was, and continues to be, an incredible experience. Let me know if any of this can be of use to you.
GingerGinger B.
